Formula, verification and sources

The rewarder distributes each epoch’s deployer pool in proportion to rewardable Data Credits. A granted multiplier increases the Data Credits attached to eligible traffic; it does not change measured bytes.

Daily Helium epochs are UTC days, distinct from Solana consensus epochs. The feed calculates yesterday’s date at runtime, derives its account addresses, and checks finalized reward issuance. If yesterday is not ready it searches recent completed epochs and labels the delay. There is no fixed-date fallback in the live epoch view. It refreshes on page load, every five minutes while visible, and when you return to the page. The server shares a five-minute cache across visitors and invalidates that cache at UTC rollover. It reads Solana through dRPC, with the Solana public endpoint as a fallback.

The weighted GB denominator is inferred from burned DC using a $0.10 base payer rate; it is not raw measured traffic. This payer-rate assumption is still a policy input, not automatically read from chain. Actual allocation rounding can differ. The supported HIP 150 provider contribution window ends July 31, 2027; a future policy change requires review.

Mobile’s share is now read from the selected finalized epoch, replacing the old calculator’s unverified 88.6%. Its share changes each epoch; 94% is the current baseline deployer fraction after the 6% delegator allocation, not Mobile’s network share.

Forecasts approximate the valid-price, active HIP 150 regime using USD/HNT precision. The prior share determines the top-up baseline; the current share determines issuance. Available burn limits the top-up, so the 80% target is not guaranteed. Zero rewardable traffic shows zero distributed rewards. The 94% allocation runs through July 31, 2027 unless extended; the 80% target has an initial one-year term. This tool does not automatically apply future policy changes.

The official rewarder uses the recorded epoch price. Live mode revalues fixed HNT in the verified view, but changes forecast pool calculations in forecast mode. A historical network-wide average per raw rewardable GB can differ from this standard 1× rate when multipliers are present. This tool does not reproduce HeliumGeek’s private series.

Payout period average = sum(pool HNT × epoch price) / sum(weighted GB). All dates in the selected 7- or 30-day window must be present. HNT price averages are means of daily UTC CoinGecko snapshots, checked hourly; live quotes refresh every minute while the page is visible. Failed or stale feeds are labeled.
